【国際交流】Graduate Students and Staff from the College of Asian Scholars (CAS) visit NWU!

 College of Asian Scholars (CAS) graduate students and staff from Khon Kaen, Thailand visited Nagasaki Wesleyan University on May 14th, 2019 as part of their tour of the Chinzei Academy. CAS students of the Education Department and Public Health Department attended the event. The assembly was opened with remarks from NWU President Yoshinobu Sato. The history of international exchanges between CAS and NWU and the Chinzei Academy was briefly explained by President Sato. Sister school relations have been formalized between the academies following relations established since 1986.

Director of International Relations Kazuki Nobiriyama conducted the assembly with Mr. Kengo Maeda from the NWU International Office translating Japanese and Thai for the presenters. The Graduate School Director of the College of Asian Scholars, Dr. Artit Chutchaipolrut reflected on his experiences as an exchange teacher at NWU 15 years ago and his work at the College of Asian Scholars. Dr. Artit and his experience at NWU sparked a legacy for many family members and colleagues who also experienced studying at NWU.

Chinzei High School Principal Mr. Ken Kawasaki exchanged greetings with Dr. Artit and gifts were presented between institutes. Following the exchange of greetings, CAS students Ms. Thanisa Phukonglee and Ms. Orapin Pholkram gave speeches on behalf of the CAS academy and its students.

NWU students from the English Presentation course also attended the assembly to show their support and to observe the presenters.
