Students in the English Club in the Department of International Studies took part in the much-anticipated $2 Festival<\/strong>, commemorating the founding and unique legacy of Nagasaki Wesleyan University. This yearly festival, rich in history and community spirit, celebrates the support and enthusiasm that has helped the university flourish over the years. In keeping with the university\u2019s tradition of celebrating global cultures, students brought a taste of the Philippines to the festival this year with a special food booth featuring Filipino-style hotdogs. Students prepared and served these hotdogs, showcasing Filipino cuisine and introducing their fellow classmates and visitors to an authentic taste of Filipino culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Day of Food, Music, and Laughter:<\/strong> Festival-goers were treated to an array of culinary delights from around the world, celebrating the international diversity that defines Nagasaki Wesleyan University. Stalls featured popular dishes from various countries, creating a global dining experience that highlighted the cultural variety within the student body and local community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival was not only a feast for the tastebuds but also for the senses, as lively performances kept spirits high throughout the day. Attendees enjoyed music from a variety of genres, with students and local musicians bringing their talents to the stage. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, comedians delivered entertaining performances that had the audience laughing along and brought a festive mood to the entire campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Events like these create opportunities for students to deepen their appreciation for other cultures while sharing their own, which is at the heart of the Department of International Studies\u2019 mission.<\/span><\/p>\n
