When cycling long distances, one experiences a wide range of emotions: excitement at the start, frustration when the road gets steep, discovery when a new path opens, and accomplishment when the destination finally comes into view. These same emotions are felt when learning another language. Both endurance cycling and language learning require discipline, patience, and steady effort over time.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning, everything feels difficult. The grammar doesn\u2019t make sense. The vocabulary seems endless. Just like the road that tilts uphill, progress can feel painfully slow. There are moments when you may want to quit. But with consistent practice, the pieces gradually start to fit together. One day, without even noticing, you realize that you\u2019re riding farther than before\u2014or speaking more confidently than ever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mistakes, which once felt discouraging, become part of the natural process of growth. Every wrong turn, like every misused word, teaches you something valuable. Progress is not always dramatic, but it is steady, and over time you see how far you have traveled.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the message I give to our students: learning a language is not a sprint but a long journey, just like cycling across hills and valleys. There will be challenges and setbacks, but also moments of joy and discovery. Take it one step\u2014or one pedal stroke\u2014at a time, and you will arrive at your goal stronger, wiser, and proud of how far you\u2019ve come.<\/span><\/p>\n
