On a recent afternoon in the Department of International Studies, students from Nepal surprised their professor with a special treat\u2014a flavorful \u201cdesi\u201d dish that brought the classroom to life!<\/span><\/p>\n

During the third period, the Nepali students worked together to prepare a delicious meal that was a fusion of Indian and Nepali cuisine. The dish was made with wai-wai noodles, puff rice, beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, onions, and a colorful mix of spices, all topped off with a splash of fresh lemon. The result was a spicy, tangy, and unforgettable flavor that everyone enjoyed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The students explained that \u201cdesi\u201d food is a term often used to describe traditional dishes from South Asia, especially India and Nepal. It was a wonderful chance for everyone in the class to learn not only about ingredients and cooking methods, but also about friendship, hospitality, and cultural pride.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was more than just food\u2014it was a cultural experience,\u201d said the professor, smiling after the meal.<\/span><\/p>\n
