At first glance, cycling and education may seem unrelated\u2014one rooted in movement and landscape, the other in classrooms and ideas. Yet over time, that distance begins to narrow.<\/p>\n

The Cycling Professor: Two Wheels Rolling<\/strong> is a series of reflections drawn from cycling through the Nagasaki region\u2014along coastal roads, through rural communities, and across landscapes shaped by history and everyday life.<\/p>\n

Each ride offers more than a change of scenery. It becomes an opportunity to think more carefully about how we learn, how we connect, and how we engage with the world around us.<\/p>\n

Moving at the pace of a bicycle allows for a different kind of attention\u2014one that notices small details, invites encounters, and follows the gradual unfolding of understanding.<\/p>\n

In this way, cycling becomes not only a physical activity, but also a way of thinking.<\/p>\n

Across twelve articles, this series explores themes such as resilience, curiosity, communication, and community\u2014tracing how movement through place can deepen awareness of both the environment and ourselves.<\/p>\n

At its core, this series is about connection\u2014between university and community, language and lived experience, individual journeys and shared understanding.<\/p>\n

There is no single conclusion to these reflections. Like cycling itself, they remain open\u2014inviting continuation, exploration, and return.<\/p>\n
