Winternational Day Held at Nishiyama Hall<\/span><\/div>\n

A Celebration of Culture, Connection, and Student Creativity<\/span><\/div>\n

On Thursday, December 4, the Department of International Studies hosted \u201cWinternational Day\u201d at Nishiyama Hall. Designed to highlight the department\u2019s unique strengths, the event aimed to create more opportunities for students to interact across cultures and experience the diversity within our campus community.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
This year\u2019s program was driven largely by the initiative and enthusiasm of our Japanese students, who prepared a wide range of activities to ensure that all participants\u2014domestic and international alike\u2014could enjoy the evening together.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
The event opened with a warm welcome, followed by an engaging icebreaker that quickly energized the room. A smooth and lively jazz ensemble performance set the tone, and first-year volunteers presented a dance showcase that drew enthusiastic applause.<\/span><\/div>\n

International students delivered an insightful presentation and quiz, offering perspectives from their home countries while encouraging audience participation. Students followed with creative games that brought students from different backgrounds into lively teams.<\/span><\/div>\n

One of the highlights of the program was a series of interviews with exchange students, giving attendees a chance to hear firsthand experiences about studying in Japan. The event concluded with a musical performance by second-year volunteers, bringing everyone together in a warm and inclusive atmosphere.<\/span><\/div>\n

Before leaving, participants were invited to share their impressions through an online survey to help shape future multicultural initiatives.<\/span><\/div>\n

Winternational Day once again demonstrated the department\u2019s commitment to fostering international understanding, student leadership, and meaningful cross-cultural exchange. A huge thank-you to all who took part, performed, supported, and attended.
