It was an honor for Professor Li, a new member of the Department of International Studies, to attend the IEEE International Conference held in Hakodate. Professor Li is currently spearheading the department’s data science courses, contributing his expertise in computational analysis and digital technology to expand students’ interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

At the conference, Professor Li presented his paper entitled “A Scalable Constant Color Optimization Algorithm.” The paper focuses on the topic of image restoration, a critical area within computer vision and image processing. Image restoration plays an essential role in enhancing visual quality and supporting downstream tasks where accurate color reconstruction is key. Professor Li’s research addresses one of the field’s major challenges — achieving high-fidelity color interpolation for images affected by demosaicing noise or incomplete color information, while ensuring computational scalability.

Academic conferences such as IEEE provide valuable platforms for researchers and scholars to exchange ideas, discuss shared interests, and gain new insights from different academic perspectives. These interdisciplinary interactions foster innovation and inspire new approaches to problem-solving.

Looking ahead, Professor Li plans to continue following the latest developments presented at international conferences and to contribute his own expertise to the field. He believes that through continuous learning and academic exchange, further breakthroughs and progress can be achieved in his research area.
