On Friday, May 22, the English Speech Contest was held at Nagasaki Commercial High School.
A total of 19 high school students from various schools across Nagasaki Prefecture participated in the event. The students delivered speeches on a wide range of topics, including social issues, personal experiences, cultural perspectives, future goals, and challenges facing modern society.
The contest provided students with an opportunity to express their ideas in English while developing their confidence, presentation skills, and critical thinking abilities. Each participant demonstrated careful preparation and strong motivation through their speeches.
A professor from the Department of International Studies at Nagasaki Wesleyan University served as the head judge for the contest, together with other judges and faculty members who supported the event.
