Series: Student Voices from the Department of Foreign Languages (Part 2)

Students in the Department of Foreign Language’s Community Service Learning (CSL) program were asked to share their thoughts about the university. The second question presented to the students is:

“What is your favorite place on campus?”

Student responses are as follows:

My favorite place on campus is the cafeteria. Because I can eat delicious school food right away, and I can meet and talk with friends from other departments that I don’t often meet.

My favorite place is the library The library is the best place because the library has wonderful books and is a very useful platform that brings together people willing to learn. It helps us in learning and expanding our knowledge. We develop our reading habits at the library and satisfy our thirst and curiosity for knowledge. This helps in the personal growth and development of a person. Most importantly, libraries are very economical. The people who cannot afford to buy new books can simply borrow books from a library. This helps them in saving a lot of money and getting information for free. In short library are a great place to gain knowledge. They serve each person differently. They are a great source of learning and promoting the progress of knowledge. One can enjoy their free time in libraries by reading and researching.

The library is undoubtedly one of my favorite places on campus. It is a sanctuary of knowledge, a hub of intellectual exploration, and a place where students can find solace amidst the chaos of college life. First and foremost, the library is a treasure trove of information. It houses an extensive collection of books, journals, and research materials that cover a wide range of subjects. Whether you’re studying history, literature, science, or any other discipline, you can find relevant resources to enhance your understanding and broaden your horizons. The library’s vast collection allows students to delve deep into their areas of interest and embark on intellectual adventures. Moreover, the library provides a peaceful and conducive environment for studying. With its hushed atmosphere, comfortable seating, and ample desk space, it offers the perfect setting for concentration and focus. The absence of distractions allows students to immerse themselves in their work, whether it’s reading a textbook, writing an essay, or conducting research. The library’s serene ambiance helps create a sense of calm and productivity, making it an ideal place for academic pursuits. That’s why I like library in college..

My favorite place at this university is the cafeteria. I always enjoy eating and talking with my friends. Sometimes I have small parties with my friends. They hold parties not only on Halloween and Christmas, but also on any other day. I really like spending time with my friends at the cafeteria. I enjoy making cakes and crepes with friends. I want to spend the remaining one year of my student life laughing with my friends.

My favorite place on campus is the place with the rocking chairs. The reason is that in the summer it’s cool and windy, and in the winter you can bask in the sun.I like to sit in a rocking chair and kill time until the next class starts.

My favorite place in my college life is often associated not only with academic pursuits but also with memorable experiences and the formation of life-long connections. College cafes serve as a lively social space where friends, classmates, and even professors can gather to relax, interact, and foster connections outside the confines of the classroom. These vibrant environments provide a casual atmosphere for students to engage in meaningful discussions, share their ideas, and collaborate on academic or extracurricular projects. College cafes foster an inclusive atmosphere, breaking down barriers and encouraging diverse perspectives to flourish. that’s why I like cafes in college.

My favorite place on campus is classroom A-301. The reason is that I have been using it for three years, and whenever I go to a sunny place, my body gets warm and I always feel sleepy. I have a fixed seat, and I always go there to relax and take classes.

I have been studying Japanese language, so I feel like this university is the best and the second reason is my seniors recommend this university for the further studies.

My favorite place on my campus is library. The library is decorated with lots of books which makes a peaceful environment. Our library is good place to read books. There is a variety of books from around the world in our library so I want to read these books. I am also excited to read more books.

I originally graduated from Chinzei Gakuin High School, and I went to the same university, Chinzei Gakuin University, because the tuition fees were cheaper. Also there is a foreign language department, so I thought I could learn a language and think about future while learning. I decided to attend Chinsei Gakuin University because I heard that I could learn Korean, which is what I wanted to learn.

My favorite place on campus is the cafeteria. It’s because the cafeteria is not only the best place to have lunch but it is also the best place for studying. Besides that, I enjoy talking to my friends there. I usually enjoy talking to my friends while eating. Seeing other students studying made it easy to focus on my studies, too. I sometimes practice singing and playing instruments there. It is open all the time so it makes it convenient to use at the time we want. For all these reasons I think the cafeteria is the best place.

I really like the computer lab the most on our campus. It’s my top spot because it’s where I go to use the computers and get my work done. I enjoy it because I can do my assignments there and also work on projects. It’s a cool place where I can concentrate and finish things for my classes. I like the feeling of getting things accomplished, and the computer lab is the perfect spot for that.

My favorite place in this campus is Nishiyama Hall because that room is used for big events, so I like this hall. This hall is very beautiful and all foreign students that meet a this hall this time are sure to make everyone very happy since this is where the Nepal Day and Vietnam Day programs take place. That hall is very clean and this hall’s chair are very comfortable. In this hall room have a big projector so I like a that hall.

As a university student, every day I have to go to lecture halls. Studying in college is not too hard. Most of our time is spent on self-study. One day, after waking up, I ate some bread and then went to my school. My lessons start in the afternoon. So in the mornings I usually go to the library to read and do my homework. The library of my school is quite large. Lots of students come here every day. When I have finished my assignments I will go to the school canteen to buy some food for lunch. I often make appointments with my friends to go with them. My favorite dish is rice ribs. I can eat it every day. After lunch we will go for a walk together and listen to music. Sometimes we will tell each other interesting stories. I will arrive at the lecture hall 5 minutes early to choose my seats and prepare for the lesson that day. After the class is over, I will return to the dorm with my friends. My school day was quite peaceful.

 Cafeteria is my favorite place on campus. It’s a good place to have lunch, study, chat with friends and so on. All dishes are delicious and reasonable. A nice smell wafts through the air at noon. Recently, breads sweets and fried chicken are also on sale. I want to try eating fried chicken so I have to buy it before it is sold out. The room is kept at a comfortable temperature. Some students take a nap. Also, unlike library, we can study or read while eating snacks and chatting. My friends and I had birthday parties there several times. We brought dishes, sponge cake, whipped cream and snacks. The photos attached are taken at that time. The memories are my treasure.

My favorite place in our school is the school cafeteria. Why do I like it? Because I like eating food made in the school cafeteria. My favorite food is omelet rice. But omelet rice is not often served. So I’m looking forward to the omelet rice being served. And we can spend good time in school cafeteria. For example, talking with my friends, studying, eating some food and so on. For these reasons, I like school cafeteria.
